Please remember, Spuzz. This 8 emmy award winning series was made in 1952. Things were not
going so well for the UN Troops in Korea. McArthur was on the verge of being asked to resign by Truman. Spirits were low to say the least. This series put a spring in America's step. To be supportive of the morale of the armed forces.

Yeah but...
While I'm sure this was all very stirring, this IS just your propaganda machine in action telling us how good the Americans are vs how Evil the Japs are... although the series does give out details about how some campaigns have failed. But essentially this is all a rah rah for the american troupes. I may watch these from time to time, but at 30 mins a piece, they get boring quickly, even though it IS chock-full of great war footage.
